The charge pipe replaces the reduced hose between the intercooler and throttle body with an aluminum pipe and connection hoses that don't expand unboost pressures Full aluminum smooth interior pipe is used to minimize turbulence maximizing air flow into engine. Smooth airflow increases throttle response and horsepower. Charge pipe kit for MINI Cooper S 1.6t R56, R60 standard and John Cooper Works (JCW) models with N14 or N18 motors. The MINI Cooper S uses a turbocharger to pressure the intake air as it goes into the engine. One of the weaknesses of this system is the plastic piping supplied as OEM. This kit alleviates these two weaknesses. Our kit replaces the OE sound chamber improving turbo response and mid-range through top-end power. Note: Doesn't come with installation instructions.
