The Draw Collar solves the problems of smoking wood burning stoves by creating draw before you even light a fire! Simply plug it in and gather your supplies. Establish draw to eliminate smoke filled rooms, smoky smelling furniture and soot filled walls. It is designed to be installed by replacing a 6” section of double wall or single wall pipe. Note: When using double wall black stove pipe, the draw collar must be installed directly on the stove. The Draw Collar uses a heating element to preheat the flue to create draw prior to lighting a fire. It has been subjected to rigorous testing, and will not change the clearance requirements. The 7 ft. electrical cord is made up of 4 ft. high grade temperature resistant wire and covered with a high temperature sleeving, and 3 ft. pig-tail cord. The average time to create a draw is 5-10 minutes, but results may vary depending on different circumstances. The Draw Collar may be left on 24 hrs a day 7 days per week if needed. It is designed with a thermal sensor which will turn the unit on and off as the temperature reaches a set point. Leaving the Draw Collar on allows it to prevent any reverse draft, which keeps the cold air and any smoky smells from coming down the flue when the stove or insert is not in use or the fire dies down.
