SPRINGFIELD, Mo, March 5, 2025 – SRC Electrical LLC (SRCE), a leading remanufacturer of
rotating electrical products and electronics and subsidiary of SRC Holdings Corp., is proud to announce significant technology milestones that solidify its role supporting the growing electrified transportation, agriculture, construction and marine industries. SRC Electrical has transitioned its identity to SRC Technologies Group, Inc. in alignment with its continued growth in advanced technology solutions.

SRC Electrical was founded in 1991. It was named for its base business: rotating electrical components. SRCE diversified into heavy duty truck and industrial equipment, electronics and marine products in response to market demands. SRCE also expanded into the manufacturing of new products and repair and return services.

“We’re excited to make the name change official,” said Chris Kleinfeld, general manager of SRC Technologies Group. “This is an investment in our future and a commitment to the growth and
innovation that will keep us growing for years to come.”

In February, the company was awarded a $925,000 grant for semiconductor chip harvesting and
plans to commission its battery lab later this month. SRC Technologies Group plans to add a combined 60 jobs in Springfield over the next 3 years for new and existing programs.

Semiconductor Chip Harvesting Grant
On February 7, 2025, SRC Electrical (now operating as SRC Technologies Group) was awarded a $925,000 grant from Missouri State University’s Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) for advanced semiconductor chip harvesting. The project, which is currently in its development phase, aims to
develop efficient methods to extract, test and repurpose microchips to reduce electronic waste and reliance on new materials while supporting a circular economy.

SRC Technologies Group will use grant funds to purchase high-tech equipment, including advanced CNC machines, laser ablation systems and automated testing tools to recover and validate chips for reuse. SRC Technologies Group is also committing significant resources in its existing infrastructure at its facility in Springfield while leveraging its remanufacturing expertise to complete the project by mid-2026.

“Once complete, this project will help position SRC Technologies as a leader in sustainable semiconductor supply chains,” says Catherine Crockett, director of business development.Battery Lab Commissioning Later this month, SRC Technologies will commission its battery lab, expanding its services and manufacturing capabilities to include full life cycle battery management, warranty and repair and return services, remanufacturing solutions, and end of life applications.

The battery lab, which resides within SRC Technologies Group’s existing facility in Springfield, is designed to support the transportation, agriculture, marine and stationary power industries by solving challenges related to supply chain constraints and end of life battery disposition.

“Current end of life solutions for battery are focused on recycling, skipping an important step in the circular economy,” said Jeremy Dodd, director of sales and marketing. “By developing a remanufactured solution, SRC Technologies Group will offer customers an option that preserves more of the original value.”
