The DeNox system is a critical emissions control component that helps reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines. The CNH Reman DeNox injector nozzle is used when injecting Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) into the exhaust stream, where it breaks down NOx into harmless nitrogen and water vapor through a chemical reaction called Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).

Dealer Recall Notice- Alternator -#48163614R
Criteria for Recall: Alternator–Part# 48163614R – Any Julian dated serial number before 241340280. Any serial number after this number is conforming (e.g. 241340281, 241340282, 241350283 etc. are good)
Please return all parts that meet these criteria by 02/21/2025.
Due to the high warranty rate associated with Alternator Part# 48163614R the decision has been made to initiate a dealer recall for this part number. We will ship the parts we receive from the dealer’s back to the supplier to be updated with a new design of regulator. This will be an improvement over the O.E. design.
The following process is required when returning Dealer Stock Parts recalled by Dealer Recall Notices:
1. A completed CNH Industrial Service Parts Recall Form along with this document must be included with the parts.
2. Only parts that have not been installed are to be returned. Dealers are NOT to remove parts from equipment and return them on this recall.
3. Ship parts per Transportation Notes below.
4. The Dealer Recall Incident number must appear on the outside of all shipping packages, cartons, crates, pallets, etc., so the material is routed to the appropriate area when received.
5. Parts recalls are to be packaged separately. Do not pack with any other returns.
6. Parts MUST be protected during shipment and arrive in saleable condition.
7. Returns must be received by the date indicated above. Parts received AFTER this date will be rejected.

DEF Sensor Service Announcement
(DC24-523)
Recent reports have indicated a significant increase in sensor failures when DEF fluid is reused, as outlined in the current service manual. Reusing DEF fluid leads to an increased risk of contamination, resulting in system errors and sensor malfunctions. After thorough testing it has been determined that these failures can be prevented by using a new high-quality, properly diluted fluid.
Only use high quality, properly diluted DEF fluid
- Do not reuse DEF fluid that has been removed from the unit
- Wait 5 minutes after installation of DEF sensor before checking for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
- The “Concentration of DEF” output has been observed to latch up to 60 seconds after submersion in known good DEF

5802855463R DEF Module Nozzle Replacement
(DC24-520)
It is mandatory to replace any black backflow nozzles with the white, core backflow nozzles on the Reman 463R DEF Module. These nozzles are provided in a package being shipped to you if you have current stock on the shelf, act to reduce potential DEF Supply Module failure.
The Knowledge Article, KA ID: KA000006410, can be found within eTIM, and references instructions for troubleshooting fault codes 19077 or 4334-10 on new or Reman supply modules, as well as replacement instructions.

Cursor Engines – Product Improvement
Problem: Excessive smoke and poor performance.
Solution Date: 7/1/2023 Serial Number Break: 231820001
Failure Mode: Coolant in the engine oil leading to a catastrophic failure.
Root Cause: Top liner o-ring was not sealing properly.
Solution: The chamfer length was reduced to maximize the lower bore inner-diameter height and provide the top o-ring the opportunity to have a better sealing area down into the lower bore instead of up on the chamfer.

Solution Date: 9/10/2024 Serial Number Break: JB00042912, 242280043-242280242
Problem: Fault code 19077 active after replacing DEF supply module
Root Cause: Factory is investigating the root cause.
Solution: It is mandatory to replace any black flow nozzles with white, core backflow nozzles to reduce potential DEF Supply Module failure. Problem: Engine can derate and go into limp mode or show Fault Codes 19077, 193337
Root Cause: The flutter membrane in the older version modules would harden and not operate properly in below freezing temperatures.
Solution: The 2.2+ modules were upgraded with a new flutter membrane design and material composition that will prevent flow restrictions.

47809628R AC Compressor- Product Improvement
Problem: Large Pully Wobble
Solution Date: 7/10/2024
Serial Number Break: 16992769798
Failure Mode: Viable signs of damage when unpackaging included:
- The coil connecter was cracked or had other damage.
- The rear head shipping caps are dented.
- Chip on the pully.
- The pulley developed a wobble after testing
Root Cause: All damages were consistent with the drop test proving that the current packaging failed to provide protection.
Solution: Moving forward, a new packaging solution will be implemented using a higher-density foam.
Problem: AC compressor making noise
Solution Date: 5/30/2024 Serial Number Break: NA
Failure Mode: AC compressor cores are coming back with two different types of dust shields on them.
Root Cause: The older dust shields (shown below on the right), are susceptible of making noises because the clearances are extremely tight.
Solution: Moving forward, all dust shields will be replaced will the newer style (shown below on the left), to open up the clearances.

Problem: AC compressor not cooling
Solution Date: 5/1/2024 Serial Number Break: NA
Failure Mode: The ac compressor will quit operating when the compressor wires are damaged due to the pulley rotation.
Root Cause: There is a possibility of water intrusion causing the compressor to freeze and seize.
Solution:
- An AC compressor shield has been created to prevent water intrusion.

87676433R Cummins 9L Engines – Product Improvement
Solution Date: 4/9/2024 Serial Number Break: 241010001
Problem: The engine will develop a knock and/or rocker arm failures.
Root Cause: Cam bushings were not properly aligned to allow proper oil flow to the rockers.
Solution: Cam bushing installation process has been updated to reflect the proper orientation in reman blocks.
